“I may be many things,
and there are even more that I am not,
but I would never do to you what you did to me,
and I think that says a lot.” — RIB
I had the unfortunate luck to have a picnic lunch with a depressed friend when the cause of her depression saw us eating. Kathy was getting divorced after a thirty-plus-year marriage. She found her husband not only had multiple affairs but purchased a house for one of the women while keeping her and their two kids in an apartment. …
When we consider infidelity, we typically think about sexual indiscretions. Surprisingly, many sexually loyal partners can be indiscreet when managing money with their life partner. Money predilections, like sexual preferences, are an intimate subject. Hiding money, overspending, secret accounts, withholding information, or outright lying about money can irreparably damage relationships.
Talking about spending and saving habits is an intimate, sometimes uncomfortable conversation. Deception is not uncommon.

When we went into lockdown, I transitioned my business to interactions on Zoom. I followed all the expert advice: keep a schedule, get up early, dress as if meeting in person, prepare for the meetings, and keep detailed notes. After a year of Zooming, I have developed a number of techniques I would like to share.
I lasted two days. My schedule planning quickly collapsed to ten minutes before my first Zoom meeting. Why was I up if no one else was on…
I was scrolling through social media when I read the post below. I must go out tomorrow to take my cat to the vet. This post made me double-check my stuff. My paperwork is always in order in my car or I won't drive. My car is in good repair. I’ll drive carefully and nothing will be hanging from my rearview mirror. I hope no policeman stops me for any reason. Yet the words below will haunt me the entire time I am out and about.
“I need to drive my two-year-old to daycare tomorrow morning. To ensure we arrive…
The cute little dog from hell has many potential adopters. I woke to a story on CNN that I loved. They posted a story about a devil dog that needs to be rehomed. The adoption video named him a “13-pound rage machine.” Prancer is the little chihuahua who has multiple issues.
Prancer does not like men or children. He bonds with women. As an animal lover, I believe that there is a designated owner for every pet. The problem is that sometimes pets have been mistreated so that their true owner may not recognize them.
One of my most beloved pets was a cat, Big Boy, marked to be destroyed that picked me. One of the many messages was a person who said the little bad dog was perfect for them. Success.

There are two people in our family not planning on being vaccinated. One is a STEM teacher. The other never graduated high school and believes there is a microchip in the vaccine that will turn on mind control in vaccinated people. The rest of our family either has been vaccinated or has plans to be vaccinated.
I don’t understand what or why they are uncomfortable. The person who is a science teacher has absorbed enough misinformation to be uncomfortable. Our family strategy is applying gentle, respectful pressure. Each of us does our part on the family Zoom call by relating…
8.2 million vaccinations were given in the USA in the last 48 hours.
Friday, April 02 and Saturday, April 03 both set new daily records of 4 million shots per day. 75% of U.S. residents who are 65+ or older have received at least one vaccine dose. As of March 31, nearly 81% of the country’s Covid deaths had occurred in people that older age group.
31% of our population, have received at least one vaccine dose, according to the CDC. 18% of the population (59.9 million residents) are fully vaccinated.
