I wonder who was after him

I was minding my own business when my friend from California sent me a TikTok, then called me. When I answered the phone, she was laughing so hard she could barely talk. I opened her message and joined her in laughing. I called my spouse over to show him what we were laughing at. He shook his head, then forwarded the social media short to his friend.

In the TikTok, a squirrel jumps from the top of an out-of-scene cabinet and lands on the floor. The squirrel then collapses on the floor like he was dead. Not satisfied with the scene he created, the squirrel grabs a fallen broom, flips under it, adjusts it, goes limp, and plays dead again.

I wonder what the squirrel is hiding from. What caused him to want someone to believe he was dead?

Did the squirrel take a nut loan from the Squirrel Mafia and can’t repay it?

Did he get some squirrel girl pregnant and must hide to avoid a wedding with tiny shotguns?

Is there a bird cabal hunting him down for eating all the bird food out of the bird feeder?

Did he break into the nut Fort Knox and the animal CIA and FBI are after him?
