You went away for the first time in 16 months
I said I would be ok
The house is empty, quite
I sat outside for a while
No one to talk to
Time passed slowly
Did my heart stop beating?
I didn’t eat breakfast or lunch
No one to eat with
Time passed quickly
Dishes sat in the sink
No one to clean with
I forgot to feed the cats
You normally do that
Come home
Come back
I lied
I’m not ok.
