“Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away.” Will Smith

I am helping one of my nieces look for a new position after her current company had an unexpected layoff. She is a customer service representative for the healthcare field. Her old job was in a medical facility which required her on-site presence. She would prefer a position that allowed her to work from home.

Same Job, Different Pay

We accidentally found a discrepancy while looking at various positions. At one organization, we found a remote job with the same title and responsibilities as an in-office job but with a very different benefit package.

The full-time on-site position came with four weeks (twenty days) of paid time off, medical insurance, dental insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, and life insurance.
