Bill Nye, The Science Guy, Received the Medal of Freedom from President Biden

The Medal of Freedom is the highest civilian award the United States offers

Seeing President Biden putting the Medal of Freedom around Bill Nye made me incredibly happy. The Medal of Freedom is our highest civilian award. Bill Nye is a man who knows and believes in genuine science. He is one reason my children headed down the science path, one to become an engineer and the other to become a veterinarian. They learned a lot about critical thinking from his experiments and the explanations he provided.

Bill made me seem wise because, as an engineer, I could explain even more of what he presented to my children. His first show was on September 10, 1993. He was on for five seasons.

You blinded us with science and opened our minds to all the world’s wonders. You taught kids to use their minds. Bill, you deserve this honor.

Congratulations, Bill Nye.
