Cardinals are my favorite
Red wings flashing
The beauty causing my emotions to run hot

Bluebirds are my favorite
Bright blue chirping
Bluebirds are going to Blue

Brown sparrows are my favorite
Making multibird designs in the sky
When I see them, I know the world has order

Black crows are my favorite
Thieves loving shiny things
Cleverness to be admired

Hawks are my favorite
Predators kill to eat
Viciousness personified but needed to survive

Colors flashing in my paranoid mind
Calming me as only selfishness can
I’ll fly away someday soon
