Does someone want to tell my amaryllis that Christmas has passed?

I have a three-year-old red amaryllis plant that did not bloom at Christmas. The flowers decided to show up for Easter. After some research, I discovered that the amaryllis flowering period is from late December to the end of June. I learn something new every day.
