Election Day in America
I Am Eating and Drinking Whatever I Want Today Because That is My Coping Mechanism
Random thoughts on a nerve-wracking day
If you voted and or supported your candidate, you have done all you can do. Relax; it will take a while to determine who the winner is.
It is election day. I do not know which way this thing will go. I am nervous for my country because no matter who wins, about half our population will be disappointed. Not a good look.
During my working years, I had lots of practice coping with stress. I know how to calm stress and keep it at bay until it is time to take out that cold, hard stress ball and examine it after the danger has passed.
You can tell I am doing a good job being cool. My cat reacts to my mood and is having a great time playing with his toys right now. Earlier, he was sitting on my lap and getting his purr on.
I worry about people who are not accustomed to being under stress. Their reaction to losing can be extreme. Their expectation was a guaranteed win. It is an election. The voters of America will decide who will be president.
The reality is it is a really close race; anything could happen. Anything.
