My Spouse Brought Me A Tall, Cold, Sexy Glass of Chocolate Milk

I had oral surgery earlier this week. I’m restricted to room temperature drinks, soft foods, and soup. Tomato soup, cream of mushroom soup, cream of broccoli soup, and chicken broth were my mainstays. No hot, cold, salt, or crunchy. I have sucked unsalted thin-cut potato chips until they were soft and slurped them. I’ve been drinking room temperature water (yuk) and Crystal Light (double yuk). My spouse made a mild saltwater rinse for my mouth. The food and drinks were not delicious. My taste buds were on lockdown in no flavor jail. It was starting to get depressing.

My spouse walked into our bedroom with a tall glass of cold chocolate milk made just the way I like it. I was paralyzed. Only my eyes were moving. The milk had a giant swirl of whip cream on top; I tracked him as he approached our bed. He had prepared the drink in one of our pretty Lenox slim glasses. The glass was cold; I knew because humidity had water droplets sliding down the sides of the glass. The milk was that dark brown color indicating plenty of chocolate was used. I could see tiny dots of chocolate syrup…
