My Spouse Brought Me A Tall, Cold, Sexy Glass of Chocolate Milk

It’s the little things that light my fire

“One cannot think well, love well, sleep well if one has not dined well.” — Virginia Woolf

I had oral surgery earlier this week. I’m restricted to room temperature drinks, soft foods, and soup. Tomato soup, cream of mushroom soup, cream of broccoli soup, and chicken broth were my mainstays. No hot, cold, salt, or crunchy. I have sucked unsalted thin-cut potato chips until they were soft and slurped them. I’ve been drinking room temperature water (yuk) and Crystal Light (double yuk). My spouse made a mild saltwater rinse for my mouth. The food and drinks were not delicious. My taste buds were on lockdown in no flavor jail. It was starting to get depressing.

My spouse walked into our bedroom with a tall glass of cold chocolate milk made just the way I like it. I was paralyzed. Only my eyes were moving. The milk had a giant swirl of whip cream on top; I tracked him as he approached our bed. He had prepared the drink in one of our pretty Lenox slim glasses. The glass was cold; I knew because humidity had water droplets sliding down the sides of the glass. The milk was that dark brown color indicating plenty of chocolate was used. I could see tiny dots of chocolate syrup stuck to the inside of the glass. I tracked the glass in his hand until he set it down on my nightstand. He had sprinkled chocolate flakes on the whipped cream. I looked from the glass of chocolate milk to him and back. I looked my sweetie in the eyes; he winked at me. I took a sip, laughed then winked back at my spouse. The milk was cold, sweet, and delicious.

My baby brought sexy back. I feel hot. Talk to you later, I have business to attend to.
