The Supreme Court Intends to Overturn Roe Versus Wade
Get ready, America. It is going to be a bumpy ride
“Bad officials are the ones elected by good citizens who do not vote.”
Elections have consequences. Politico obtained a draft opinion memo from Justice Alito. It basically said: ‘Fuck you’ to America’s women. The draft memo is said to pay homage to all five conservative justices: Alito, Thomas, Kavanagh, Barrett, and Gorsuch. I expected it. For most of its life, the Supreme court has been behind the nation’s desires to protect the liberty of its citizens. The draft appears to be legitimate.
This is the same Supreme court that stated that there were no rights that Black people had that needed to be respected by the White man in the Dread Scott decision. Dread Scott was property to be treated as such. The same court locked in Jim Crow laws with multiple decisions. The same court was cool with separate but equal education for many years. So why would anyone expect them to protect women?
The three Trump appointees simply lied during their confirmation hearings. Who did not know that? I expected them to mislead as they did. Susan Collins looks like a fool after her support of Kavanagh put him on the court…
