The word of the day is twister

Franken laughed as he watched the man-made twister destroy the homes the settlers built over the last four years. The settlers had no idea he was behind the destruction, which drove them away from the world they had chosen. It took two months.

If they were too ignorant to check their planet for precious universal resources, who was he to tell them? They were uneducated in the basic ways of space farming. They must leave so he can prosper. — their loss, his win.

Give credit where credit is due. It was their fault that he was destroying their lives.

This story was inspired by Nancy Oglesby’s random drabble challenge and its associated word “twister.” It is just the wrong genre!
