Vivek Ramaswamy’s Nonsensical Plan to Decrease Federal Employees by 75%

Imagine you have just been authorized to implement a plan you have wanted to execute all your life. You have the power to make a massive difference in the lives of 346,133,195 Americans.
You and your co-chief, Elon Musk, are in charge of cutting government costs. Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy will lead the newly formed Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE.
(As an aside, DOGE is also the name of the bitcoin that Elon controls, which he wants the US monetary system to convert to using iDOGE coin instead of dollars.) Trump has said Vivek and Elon can do whatever they want.
The federal government has 2.2 million civilian employees, 1.4 percent of the US workforce, not including military personnel.
If given that opportunity, I would gather the brightest minds in our country to help me draft a layoff plan that would be efficient and considerate of our federal employees. Is that what the are doing? No, it is not.
