I’m out and about doing errands when I hear a woman calling my name. I stop and look around. I don’t see anyone I recognize. She calls my name again. This time, I see a stranger calling my name and looking at me. I do not know who the woman is. She approaches me.

Who Is This Thin Woman?

She gleefully says, “You don’t know who I am, right?”

I respond, “I do not.”

She says, “It’s me, Bree.”

I look again. The Bree I knew weighed at least 350 pounds and used a cane to walk. This woman is much smaller and dressed provocatively. This person does not walk with a cane. She looks great.

“Wow!” I say. “You been working out?” I did not want to say dieting in case she had not been dieting.

“Ozempic, I used Ozempic injections to lose weight. It only took me less than five months to lose 200 pounds to reach my goal,” she replies. “You need a prescription for it, but my doctor agreed I needed it.”
