Woman Who Snitched on UHC CEO Shooter May Not Get The $60K Reward

Snitches get stitches, and maybe no money

She thought she was doing the right thing, but the bureaucrats won’t care. Her name was Nancy Parker. The man she reported was Luigi Mangione. A customer spotted the accused gunman, who allegedly shot United Health Care’s CEO, Brian Thompson, and reported him as suspicious to Nancy, a McDonalds employee. Nancy called 911. Yesterday, it was alledged that Nancy was on Facebook bragging that she was the one who had turned Luigi in. She outed herself.

The good part is Nancy may not get the $60K reward that was promised. For Crimestoppers, the $10K tip had to be called into Crimestoppers, where you get a unique number to reference. Nancy did not do that, so she has no reference number to claim that reward money.

For the $50K from the FBI, the police say the rules are “complicated.”

“The tip-off from the employee is apparently crucial in the case, but the question remains if the worker will be able to cash in on the $60k in reward money at all. The rules are complicated, they stipulate tipsters in with a chance of the FBI portion of the reward cannot nominate themselves.”
